Bonjour! I’m Patricia Sunday, and I’m thrilled to help you master French or English in a way that feels natural, fun, and totally doable. With over a decade of teaching experience
French is one of Canada's two official languages, and speaking it opens doors at school, at work and across much of the country. A classroom rarely gives anyone enough time to speak, and that is where one-to-one lessons make the biggest difference.
Educify French tutors work with children in French Immersion and Core French, high-school and university students, and adults learning for work, travel, immigration or the pleasure of it, online or in person.
For students in French Immersion, a tutor helps keep reading and writing at grade level, explains grammar the class has moved past, and supports homework in every subject taught in French. That help matters most when no one at home speaks French.
For Core French students, tutoring builds the speaking and listening that a few classes a week cannot, and prepares them for tests and oral presentations.
Tell your tutor which exam and level you are aiming for, and lessons will cover each part of it with practice in the real format.
Language learning suits online lessons well: the focus is conversation, and your tutor can share texts, audio and exercises on screen. In-person lessons take place at your home, a library or the tutor's studio, wherever a tutor near you offers them.
A tutor can explain lessons and homework in French, keep reading and writing on track, and let you know how your child is doing in plain English. Many families use tutoring for exactly this reason.
Both. Tell us which you prefer when you request your free assessment. Grammar is the same, and good tutors teach students to understand both accents and the most common differences in vocabulary.
It depends on how often you practise. English speakers who take lessons once or twice a week and practise between them can usually hold simple conversations within a few months, and reaching professional fluency takes much longer.
Yes. Tutors work through each section of the test, including listening, reading, writing and speaking, with practice in the test format and feedback on how your answers are scored.
