Python is the most popular first programming language, and for good reason. Its code reads almost like English, so beginners build something real in their first lessons, and the same language runs websites, data analysis, automation and artificial intelligence.
Educify Python tutors teach one to one, online or in person, from children writing their first program to students and professionals moving into data and software.
Students learn fastest when they are making something they care about. Depending on age and interest, projects can include quiz and adventure games, turtle graphics, games built with Pygame, a calculator or budget tracker, scripts that automate boring tasks, a small website, or charts made from real data.
Most children are ready for Python around age 10, once they read and type comfortably. Younger children usually start with block-based coding in Scratch, which teaches the same ideas of loops, conditions and events, and then move to Python.
Around 10 years old for most children, sometimes earlier for confident readers and typists. Younger learners can start with Scratch and move to Python when they are ready.
Python is free and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Your tutor will help you set it up with a beginner-friendly editor such as Thonny or Visual Studio Code, or start in a browser-based editor with nothing to install.
With weekly lessons and some practice in between, most beginners write useful small programs within a couple of months. Becoming job-ready for software or data work takes longer and depends on the projects you build.
Python is usually the easier first language and the better choice for data, automation and science. JavaScript is the language of the web, so start there if building websites is your main goal.
